I'm giving you a little inspiration for gifts for all your gardeners, florists, plant Moms, flower pressers, and flower lovers this season. With ample ways to support small businesses, I'm hoping this list makes your holiday shopping a little bit easier.
Keeping the budget under $30, you should have some room for special wrapping and a gift topper too.
This season, I am thrilled to present a carefully curated gift list for flower enthusiasts, each item handpicked with love and attention. More than just a collection of thoughtful presents, this guide is an ode to the importance of supporting small businesses. In a world where uniqueness and craftsmanship shine, choosing gifts that emanate the passion and dedication of independent artisans not only brings joy to the recipient but also contributes to the flourishing spirit of small businesses.
Let this guide be your source of inspiration as you find the perfect gifts for those who appreciate the delicate artistry of blooms. 🌸🍂
Terrarium Candles
If you're like me, you are obsessed with cute candles, mugs, and glassware but you don't necessarily always buy them for yourself. These types of things are MY FAVORITE gifts. These sweet candles by artist Zoe Tang are a prime example. Whether you choose the poppy or cactus, you are guaranteed to put a smile on anyone's face who loves flowers or plants.
Get it from Etsy for $10.43+ (available in poppy, anemone, sunflower, clematis, succulent, and cactus, in a variety of sizes).
Pressed Flower Pendant Necklace
The cat-lover on your list will treasure this necklace from TheTamedFlower for years to come. Featuring real, forget-me-not flowers & Queen Anne's Lace preserved in clear resin on a 14k gold-plated adjustable cable chain, this gift just might be their most cherished thing (besides their feline friend of course).
Watercolor Flowerscape Prints
Kmpressed's botanical prints are a sweet reminder of trips to the Blue Ridge Mountains, or dreams of warmer days in the sun surrounded by wildflowers. Her prints would make the perfect gift for nature lovers, allowing them to bring their favorite parts of nature into their homes.
French Bulldog Mini Planters
If you're a dog person, you are naturally going to be obsessed with anything that even resembles your furry friend. Not only are these English Bulldog planters from DovekienFinch adorable, but you can also customize the body color right down to the ears! I would gift this cutie with Recycled Fiber Seed Paper Hearts or with a bottle of Bar Dog Pinot Grigio.
Get it from Etsy for $24+ (available in white, black, gray, grindle, and tan and can be added with an air plant).
1818 Farms Botanical Wax Sachets
There is no better way to bring nature into your home than to fill it with the aromas of the crisp woodsy smell of the trees, wreaths, and garlands used on a farm. Place these hand-poured botanical wax sachets in small spaces for a big impact. Gift these as a set, or as a beautiful compliment to another gift.
Gingko Clay Earrings
Asheville artist Gina from Kai Leia Clay Studios designs the most unique, one-of-a-kind plant and flower jewelry. She also has the most adorable customizable cactus earrings, where you can select which cactus you like and what pot goes best. So cute! These will make such a thoughtful gift idea for anyone on your list who loves a handmade touch.
Flower Frogs
Designing quick and easy flower arrangements has never been so easy with this Flower Frog set. This set comes with both a brass and clear frog, making flower arrangements seamless in any type of vessel. These are perfect for anyone who loves to showcase flowers in their home or office. We love that you can use faux or wood flowers with these too if you don't have a green thumb.
The Gifting Formula
One of the things that stuck with me from working so many magical holidays at Anthropologie is how to build a gift. You have your main gift, then a complementary gift, and then a topper. This is not necessary, but if done right, it can be done in a cost-friendly and fun way. What I have enjoyed the most is the gift toppers.
I have been popping Dollar Tree dinosaur figurines onto birthday dinosaur wrapping, Lush bath bombs onto birthday gifts, and Target bottle brush trees onto holiday wrapping. There is just something unexpected and delightful about an extra gift on top of your gift (IMO).
Here are some of my favorites just in case, you too might get the urge to top your gifts this year.
Pressed Flower Ornaments
Telnaz Mazidi does it again with these one-of-a-kind ceramic real pressed flower Christmas ornaments tied with velvet ribbon. Add one of these very special pieces to your gift before they sell out. Pair this beauty with petal cornflower wrapping paper in the marigold mix for a touch of sophisticated whimsy.
Pressed Flower Bookmarks
Who has an avid book club friend, a spicy BookTok lover, or an old-fashioned book collector on their list? These pressed flower bookmarks by AridFlowersbyAngie are giving vintage, heirloom, and they will quickly become a keepsake. I am loving these paired on top of a moody, floral wrapping paper and a velvet ribbon in mauve.
Mini Bouquets
Do not get me started with these. Seeing these tied on top of wildflower wrapping paper gives me full-body chills. These mini bouquets from Handmade Party Favor can be customized with a phrase of your choice. You can use this as your gift tag too, I mean come on.
Pressed Flower Soap Dishes
I am seeing pressed flowers being sprinkled throughout bathrooms and it is the sweetest way to bring nature into a space. I think one of these one-of-a-kind treasures from AlkiDesigns tied on top of a beauty-themed gift would be a great way to surprise and delight your recipient.
Good Gifting, That Also Makes You Feel Good
Finding the perfect gift is fulfilling itself, but also supporting a small business in the process may or may not give an angel its' wings. I'm hoping you have loved getting to know these small businesses as much as I have, and that you are a little bit more inspired than before you read this.
Whether you're supporting local businesses in your town or from afar, or finding small businesses on big box stores like Amazon, I know the owners all appreciate you thinking of them this time of year.
Which gardener, plant mom, florist, or nature lover will you be crossing off your Christmas list?
Let me know in the comments or via the chat button. I'd love to let the small business owner know. :)
<3,
Courtney
